2012: GET OUT THERE!
Our 9-12 year old classes at Newport Northcote and South Yarra will respond each term to an excursion to visit an exhibition or event. Using this as a jumping off point, classes will explore costume, music, text and movement to create their own original theatre works each term. In Term 2, a special guest artist will join for the last five weeks of term to help the groups realise a new skill or develop a new approach to their performance making. All classes will be open to parents for the last fifteen minutes so you can see your child in action.
In Term 2 our 9-12 year old classes at South Yarra will collaborate with the younger classes and a number of artists to create an original, full length theatre production in the Randall Theatre. In 2012, the production will be called Accidentally Ugly and will be based on photographs or images or ugly and beautiful things taken by the cast.
Times:
Northcote: Tuesdays 4.30pm-6.30pm
Newport : Wednesdays 4.30pm-6.30pm
South Yarra : Saturdays 11am – 1pm
Cost:
2 Hour Classes: $ 320 per term
A $60 membership to St Martins is compulsory and lasts for one year.
A discount applies for healthcare card holders.
