Big Sky Town

Big Sky Town is the new play from brilliant young playwright Amelia Roper; a St. Martins member who has been developed through the 2005 Creative Ensemble and last years Radicals and Misanthropes.
Big Sky Town is a stunning blend of satire, absurdity, humor, and pathos in a tale concerning a NASA space mission gone horribly wrong and the ridiculous aftermath of cover-up, fraud and human behavior at its most vulnerable and grotesque.

Written by Amelia Roper, Directed by Naomi Edwards.

Szentpaly

Szentpaly is a new play from extraordinary young theatre maker Bryan Davidson-Blue; a St. Martins member who has been developed through the 2005 Creative Ensemble and last years Radicals and Misanthropes.
Szentpaly tells the story of five characters trapped in a dystopic future existence of obsessive hatred and sexual paralysis. The complexities of survival are investigated as the text confronts issues of masculinity and homophobia. It is edgy, provocative theatre and involves images and language suitable for adult audiences only

Wanderlands
Ages 13 to 18

Wanderlands is a fantastical new play from award-winning dramatist Nic Velissaris, especially commissioned by St. Martins for our 13 to 18 year old members. Developed through the 2007 Foundation Ensemble, this beautiful new work will be given a full production in 2008. Wanderlands tells a wondrous tale of survival and adventure as a group of young outcasts embark upon an epic journey of discovery and salvation.

Set Design by Dayna Morrissey, Lighting Design by Angela Cole.
Venue: The Randall Theatre.

Hatched 08 is a weekend festival of ‘works-in-progress’ prsented by the St. Martins Creative Ensemble.
The Creative Ensemble is a gifted and committed crew of next-gen theatre-makers. Throughout 2008 they meet every week, exploring a wide range of theatrical language and genre, generating a plethora of inspiring new works including plays, physical theatre pieces, even performance and installation art. The Creative Ensemble is facilitated by outstanding theatre-maker Lucy Angell. Creative Ensemble details.
