National Playwrighting Competition
The St Martins National Playwriting Competition predicts Australia’s brightest new writing talent and is open to 13 to 30 year old playwrights across Australia.
Previous competition winners have gone on to have their work featured at the Malthouse Theatre, La Mama and in 2009, Amelia Roper’s BIG SKY TOWN (Playwrighting Competition winner 2007) was selected for the VCE Playlist and toured to the Arts Centre and Regional Victoria in mid 2009. Winning entries receive public readings and dramaturgical assistance. Some works may even receive production.
