In early September, St Martins Catapult program presented TOTIPOTENT: A National Theatre Summit for Young and Emerging Artists.

Something is coming, it’s changing, breaking, dripping, splitting and dividing, it slides, it’s joining and grafting its forming something new…

Over 80 young and emerging artists attended the summit weekend, with attendees coming from as far a Darwin , Western Australia and Far North Queensland to participate.

The busy, productive and stimulating weekend included a keynote speech and masterclass from Matthew Lutton, panel discussions from Australian professional theatre makers and producers and an exciting open space session.

Below you can download  the “Postcard” Catapult member Joshua Lynzaat presented at the Australian Theatre Forum in Brisbane, later in September. The postcard was devised by St Martins Catapult team, inspired by conversations and topics explored by the young artists at TOTIPOTENT.

ACCESS AT THE SUMMIT:

St Martins is dedicated to providing broad access to all our programs. Our commitment to access at the TOTIPOTENT Summit was implemented in many ways. The Totipotent masterclass, panel discussions and performances were Auslan interpreted. We employed dedicated support workers for the events duration and had audio description available to those who wished to access the service. Our summit access plan was overseen by our Access Officer, Katrine Gabb, who was present throughout the Summit and whose responsibility is was to ensure accessibility to all participants.
