The inaugural production of the St Martins Mixed Abilities Ensemble
St Martins is proud to present a performance event both participants and audiences will keep fondly in mind for years to come.
Cherish is the outcome generated by the inaugural St Martins Mixed Abilities Ensemble, a group of young people aged 16 to 25 with and without disabilities.
Through a series of weekly workshops, the ensemble has responded to the things that they hold dear and according to ensemble member Conor making new friends is the highlight, “what I secretly cherish that no one knows, is meeting new people” he says.
The production is a collaboration with award winning theatre company rawcus and is co directed by Kate Sulan and St Martins Artistic Director, Sarah Austin.
Cherish is showing for one night only on April 23rd in the Irene Mitchell Studio at St Martins, bookings are recommended.
Cherish is funded by the City of Melbourne through its 2010 CCD Arts Grants Program.
