The 30th Birthday Gala will be a jam packed night of fabulous production highlights, performed by St Martins’ current participants and we will take a peek into the past of some of this country’s best-known artists. Our impressive list of alumni includes Gina Riley, Jane Turner, Colin Lane, Frank Woodley, Madeleine West, TRIPOD, Julia Zemiro, Catherine McClements and according to Mark Trevorrow (aka Bob Downe), “I have very fond memories of my years at St Martins; it was a critically important time in which my life’s direction was transformed.”
“St Martins inspires and supports young people to find their creative voice. Over 30 years, St Martins has seen nine different artistic epochs, engaged thousands of young people in the arts, and provided a platform for many to launch their careers,” commented current Artistic Director Sarah Austin, “it’s more than a place where you come and learn about theatre, St Martins is where you find your feet and find your very own creative community.”
So if you got your start performing, found a creative partnership, lifelong friends, an artistic community or a second home down the that little lane in South Yarra, we welcome you to join us to celebrate the past and look forward to St Martins very exciting future.
